These terms apply to everyone who uses GetMeBed. By creating an account or using the website you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

What GetMeBed is

GetMeBed is a platform that lets students find hostels and send booking requests, and lets hostels list and manage their rooms and beds. GetMeBed is not a party to the agreement between a student and a hostel, does not own or operate any hostel, and does not currently collect rent or deposits.

Accounts

• You must give accurate information and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for activity on your account.
• Choose the right account type when registering; a student account and a hostel account have different tools.

For students

• A booking request is a request, not a confirmed booking, until the hostel accepts it.
• Rent, deposits and house rules are set by the hostel. Read them before you commit and visit before you pay.
• Do not send requests you do not intend to follow up on.

For hostels

• Listings must be accurate, including photos, gender policy, prices, amenities and availability.
• Keep bed availability current; students rely on it.
• Use student information only to handle their request and stay, and never for unrelated marketing.
• We may reject, suspend or remove a listing that is misleading, unsafe or breaks these terms.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service: no false listings, impersonation, scraping, attempts to break security, or content that is unlawful, abusive or discriminatory.

Liability

We work to keep listings accurate but cannot guarantee the condition of any hostel or the conduct of any user. To the extent permitted by law, GetMeBed is not liable for losses arising from arrangements between students and hostels.
